The winter is over, the dark nights are finished and the temperature is finally starting to warm up. If you’ve been hiding away in your halls for the last few months under a blanket binging on Netflix, it’s time to finally step outside and enjoy what the city has to offer.
London has some incredible events on this Spring, and we think you’re going to love them. Here’s a round-up of our favourites…
International Women’s Day 2019
This was huge last year, with thousands of students around the city turning out for the amazing rallies, protests, speakers and more. It’ll be the same this year, but even bigger, and it’s a chance to get involved at a real level with passionate and educational events around the city.
Margarita Rumble – Bottomless Night
This is exactly what it sounds like… a night of bottomless margaritas for a fixed ticket price. How does it work? Well, 12-15 specially curated, best of the best, bars and restaurants from around the city will all send their mixologists to the event, and compete for the best margarita title. The best bit? You get to try all of them, of course. If you plan on drinking, then this event is seriously good value, so ideal for a student budget.
If you want to get involved with a good cause this spring time, Earth Hour takes place on Saturday the 30th March and is a global initiative that aims to drive awareness and exposure for global warming, climate change, and the natural world. The campaign asks offices and businesses to turn off their lights for an hour between 8.30pm and 9.30pm to save countless energy and outgoings across the world. It’s an incredible spectacle and Stint will be taking part in their London head office!
St Patrick’s Day
On Friday the 15th of March, it’s St Patrick’s Day. We don’t need to explain why this is an awesome event for students – it involves food, drink and endless banter – so we’re not sure what else to add. A three-day extravaganza takes place across the city, consisting of parades, pub crawls, dancing, food stalls and music. It’s epic and not one to be missed.
Re:Imagine do Beyonce’s Lemonade
Re:Imagine are an incredible musical experience company that recreate classic musical albums using a live orchestra in a live music setting. It’s intense, awesome and something you won’t have seen before. On March 29th they are re-imagining the award album ‘Lemonade’ by Beyonce, and it sounds like it’s going to be epic. This is a one-time event, that won’t be repeated – so make sure you grab tickets!
